ABOUT IPRED

International Preparedness & Response to Emergencies & Disasters

IPRED has been an international conference held biannually in Israel since 2010.The conference brings together people who deal with emergencies and disasters worldwide, enriching each other with everything new on the subject.

Alongside the lectures and discussions over two days, there is a huge exhibition with all the innovations dealing with emergencies and disasters. An extensive exercise will reveal the innovations and practices related to disasters and emergencies on the conference’s third day. We invite everyone to join the IPRED community and participate in our activities. We are looking forward to hosting you at the conference starting on June 16, 2024.

Dr. Eran Tal-Or

Chairman of the IPRED conference

Dr. Eran Tal-Or is a physician, specialized in Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine with Master degree in Health Administration Dr Tal-Or Is Director of the Emergency Department at Pade-Poria Medical Center Israel Eran also Chair for the emergency committee at the hospital where he works. Dr. Tal-Or teaches at Bar-Ilan University in the Faculty of Medicine in Safed and is responsible for studying emergency and trauma medicine. He is the Medical director of the IMA (Israeli Medical Assistant) company that takes care of flying the sick and injured from foreign countries and returning them to Israel.

Mr. Rafi Golani

Senior Department Director for Emergency Response in the Ministry of Health, Rafi Golani, MPH, MA. Rafi Golani assumed his position as Senior Department Director for Emergency Response in the Ministry of Health, effective 1.2.2021.

Prof. Dorit Nizan

Chairman of the Academic Committee

AProf Dorit Nitzan is a physician, specialized in public health and emergencies. She served in various senior roles in the World Health Organization (WHO) for 17 years. From 2005 to 2012 she was the WHO Representative and Head of Country Office in Serbia and Montenegro and a Manager of Public Health Services for South-East Europe. From 2012 to 2016, Dorit served as the WHO Representative and Head of Country Office in Ukraine. She was subsequently appointed WHO Regional Emergencies Director in the WHO European Region and was based in Copenhagen, Denmark ....
