Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are privileged and honored to welcome you to the 7th International Preparedness & Response to Emergencies & Disasters Conference (IPRED VII). The conference will take place from January 14 to 17, 2024 in Tel Aviv. It will once again provide a unique opportunity for professionals from diverse fields and from around the world, to share, collaborate, study and present the latest findings and insights regarding multi-system preparedness, including that of health systems, at all levels, as well as their functioning, response to and resilience against emergency situations and disasters.
As before, the IPRED VII will be hosted by the Israeli Ministry of Health, the IDF Home Front Command and Israel’s rescue organizations.
Since 2010, the IPRED conferences have provided platforms for creating networks and connections of the world’s experts. Considering the current emergency events in the world, the IPRED VII will concentrate on readiness and response to conflict situations and wars. Discussion will also provide insights of the local and global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, community involvement in emergency preparedness, risk communication.
The conference will be rooted in an interactive, stimulating and multidisciplinary program, and will include plenary sessions, meetings and workshops, abstract sessions and oral posters, presentations, and roundtable discussions. As always, one of the highlights of the conference will be a regional simulation exercise focusing on readiness and defense against attacks on the home front.
The exercise will include rescue and medical teams of the Home Front Command, the IDF Field Hospital, classified by the WHO as a Class 3 Emergency Medical Team (EMT), the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Division, civilian emergency services, first responders and other primary care organizations, covering a diversified package of issues. The exercise will include a wide range of specialists, including health professionals, those who are involved in managing disaster areas and more.
The IPRED VII is the home for us all – we are looking forward to being with you at the conference and invite you to prepare for the submission of abstracts and topics that you would like to present or lead.
