Dr. Maya Golan
Head of the Emergency Management & Operations Division at the Israeli Ministry of Health since Operation “Am Kelavi” (June 2025).
In this role, she oversees the National Health Command Center and is responsible for advancing the healthcare system’s preparedness and readiness for emergency scenarios.
Following the events of October 7th, Dr. Golan led the healthcare planning for the “Tkuma” Administration (Prime Minister’s Office), focusing on regional rehabilitation.
Her previous experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor to the Director General of the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was part of the national crisis management and policy-making team.
A Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) in the IDF Medical Corps, she held various command and staff positions and participated as a nurse in international humanitarian delegations to earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey, India, and Haiti.
